The village is situated on the river Elbe in the beautiful valley between Jaroměř and Dvur Kralove nad Labem, about 145 km north-east of Prague, on the main road from Hradec Kralove to Giant Mountain and Poland.
It is also accessible by train or bus.
Climate is mild, though the mountains are near, as all in this lowland.
Surroundings are with beautiful nature, many historical sights and artistic pieces. Here is a lot of places to relax and enjoy.
From Kuks is near Giant Mountain, Grandma's valley, chateaus, castles, Eagle Mountains and many other interesting destinations. But Kuks is famous historical hospice with Braun's Baroque sculpture or Natural Gallery with Braun's Bethlehem artistic sculpture.
